Madhura Karambelkar, whose "melodious musical phrases" and "confidence in rhythm" caught the attention of one reviewer, has more than 15 years of training under the guidance of Maruti Patil, a senior desciple of Arvind Parekh. She has performed on All India Radio and Doordarshan - Indian national television - as well as in Vilayat Khan Gharana programs in Mumbai and across Maharashtra State in India, including participating in one notable Guinness world-record-breaking concert with 1000+ sitarists performing at once for the Art of Living Foundation in Delhi. She holds sitar exposition prizes for Mumbai University's Instrumental Music Competition, IIT Mumbai's Mood Indigo Festival and The Shanmukhananda Sangeet Sabha Instrumental Music Competition, and has recently moved to the Bay Area.
