About the Concert:
"Music Without Borders" brings together for the first time ever four renowned artists for a
Jugalbandi of Sufi and Fusion music. This medley comprises Grammy award winner and
Padmashree Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt on the Mohan Veena, Sufi singer and guitarist
Salman Ahmad from the rock band Junoon, internationally acclaimed tabla player Samir
Chatterjee, and Daniel Weiss on the drums. The concert will feature Indian melodies and
rhythms performed on Indian and Western instruments. Songs range from 'Sayonee', 'Allah
hoo' to 'Keshariya Balam', and exciting percussion duets.

About AID:(http://www.aidindia.org/main/):
Started 18 years ago, AID is an organization with more than 36 chapters just in the United
States. Based on the funds raised around the world, AID supports diverse projects in India
spanning issues including environment, education, and health care, among others. Nearly zero
overhead costs is something we are very proud of at AID. This has prompted Charity
Navigator (www.charitynavigator.org ) to rate AID 4-star, which is one of the highest
for any non-profit organization. This is due to the fact that but for accounting, all facets of AID's
functioning are entirely volunteers managed. AID is a 501 3(c) certified organization,
which means all donations/sponsorships made towards it are 100% tax deductible.
Our Chapter - Bay Area (http://bayarea.aidindia.org/):
We are based in the bay area and functional for more than 9 years now. Details of our chapter
would be on our web site. It lists the projects we support and individuals we fund. We are one of
the (if not THE) largest chapters of AID and support the largest number of projects of a single
chapter in AID. We have volunteers spread around the bay area and when in need this number
easily swells to around 80 people!
