Manjushree learned from her grandfather and guru B. N. Kshirsagar, a disciple of Krishna Rao Shankar Pandit and Pt. Rajabhaiyya Punchwale. After relocating to Pune, she also took tutelage from the well-known vocalist Dr. Prabha Atre. Manjushree holds a Ph.D. on the "History of Musicians of Rajasthan" from the J. N. Vyas University of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, which was released as a book at the hands of the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Like K. S. Vaishali below, Manjushree also holds a "Sangeeta Visharada" degree in Hindustani vocal music from one of the pioneering music universities of India founded by Vishnu Digambar Paluskar, who was instrumental in bringing classical music instruction to the masses in India in the early 20th century.
