Pt. Hridayanath Mangeshkar enlights Sahitya Sammelan–Bhavsargam and Amrutacha Ghanu

We are proud to announce that Pt Hridyanath Mangeshkar will enlight Sahitya Sammelan with his 3 hour performance on day 1 of the Sammelan. We are thankful to our longtime mandal subchintak Prakash Gadgil for his perseverance.
Pt. Hridayanath will perform in Bay area after 11 years /at age of 71.
We are honored with his presence in our Sahitya Sammelan.

Sammelan Contests for Kids and adults – Vraktutva Spardha:
This is to announce details of the Vaktrutva spardha organized for kids between 6 and 14 years of age. The spardha will be conducted during Sahitya Sammelan in a parallel session. There are two age groups. Here are the details:
Age group: 6 to 10 years
Time limit: 3 minutes (Please adhere to time limit. Points deducted for longer speeches)
Language: Speech must be made in Marathi
Topics:
1. Mala dev bhetala tar
2. Unhalyachi sutti
3. Mala padalele gamatidar swapna
4. Maaze aaji, aajoba jenvha aamchya kade yetat tenva
5. Ameriketil ganpati/divali utsav
Age group: 11 to 14 years
Time limit: 5 minutes (Please adhere to time limit. Points deducted for longer speeches)
Language: Speech must be made in Marathi

This competition is limited to kids who have registered for the Sahitya Sammelan or whose parents have registered for the Sahitya Sammelan. There is no separate entrance fee for the competition.
Sammelan Contests – Essay Competition:
This is great opportunity for to participate in the Sammelan. We are inviting Marathi nibandh, essays (even English written marathi is fine for our next generation youths). We have 5 parisamwads as part of sammelan and are the subjects of nibandh's.
