Hi,
I hold an Indian passport and am currently working in Ireland.
My H1B was approved last year but I could not visit the embassy for stamping.
Can I get my VISA stamped from Ireland ?
Please suggest.
Thanks Tiger for your time.
I will be filing a new application for H1B (First timer).
I visited the local embassy website but it hardly has any information for me.
I will anyhow visit the consulate in person, but thought that somebody who underwent a similar process might be able to help.
Hi,
I cann't say right answer unless it is know that your H1 visa is a new visa or renewal visa. Hence i would poin this para from this link. It may not applicable but there is a note in the red color saying that new visas should be stamped from their home countries. Anyway i guess you can always try to get information local US consulate and i'm sure there will be some website for that to do more research.
"Renewals of E, H, I, L, O, P, Visas - You Must Now Apply Abroad"
----------------------------------------------------------------
Applicants must now apply abroad for renewals or revalidations of E, H, I, L, O and P visas. We encourage all applicants to apply for new visas in their home countries. If you are not traveling to your home country, you may apply at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate in Canada and Mexico provided you have made a visa interview appointment. You may also apply at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate in a third country provided you have made a visa interview appointment. You should understand that if there is a delay in visa issuance, you may need to spend more time overseas than you originally planned. Information on U.S. Embassies and Consulates and their visa interview appointment systems is available on the Department of State Website at Locate an Embassy. Depending on the type of appointment system in place at a particular U.S. Embassy or Consulate, a business associate, friend, or relative in-country may need to make the visa interview appointment for you. The Department of State has directed its Embassies and Consulates to give priority to applicants who would have benefited from our domestic visa revalidation service.
